Wiesman, Dorothy S. (3 Oct. 1912 – 10 Mar. 2006)

Dorothy S. Wiesman, 93, Stratford, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2006, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Ebenezer United Church of Christ in the town of Cleveland, Marathon County. The Rev. Micah Schlobohm will officiate, along with congregational singing accompanied by Paul Untiet. Burial be in the church cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2006, at Sauter/Kundinger Funeral Home, Stratford, and again Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of the services.

Dorothy was born Oct. 3, 1912, to Herman and Amanda Krause in Spencer. She graduated from Stevens Point Teachers College, and prior to her marriage, she taught at Balsam School in the town of Cleveland.

She was united in marriage to Clifford L. Wiesman on June 24, 1936, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer.

She worked at the Stratford Library for many years as a librarian. She was very active in church as a Sunday School teacher and a daily Vacation Bible School teacher. She sang in the church choir and belonged to the Ladies Aid.

Dorothy was survived by two sons, Dale (Judy) Wiesman, Larsen, and Glen (Kris) Wiesman, Schaumburg, Ill.; and one daughter, Theone (Kenneth) Neumann, Marshfield; grandchildren, Kim (Dan) McKeown and their children, Kelly, Zachary and Amanda, Gary (Michelle) Wiesman and their children, Hayley and Nicholas, Darrell (Kris) Neumann and their children, Tara, Ethan and Kyle, Daniel (Wendy) Neumann and their children, Julia Neumann and Anders Woodfill, Tom Neumann, Melissa Palueska and her children, Jeremy, Curtis and Cory, Jeff Wiesman, Wendy Wiesman and her children, Brandon Wiesman and Andrew Eguchi; a sister, Lillian Dietsche, Marshfield; a brother, Ervin Krause, Beaver Dam; and four sisters-in-law, Alice Dahlke, Edna Birkholz, Marion Wiesman and Orpha Wiesman.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; two sisters, Frances Neuman and Lorena Cramer, and a brother, Norman Krause.

Memorials may be given in Dorothy’s name to Ebenezer United Church of Christ.
