Bohman, Margaret Rose (25 Feb. 1942 – 24 Feb. 2009)

STRATFORD -- Margaret Rose "Margie" Bohman, 66, Stratford, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at her home in the town of Wien, Marathon County.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford. The Rev. Thomas Rudolph will officiate and music will be provided by St. Joseph's Resurrection Choir.

Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County and pallbearers will be Eric Drexler, Todd Engmann, Chad Bohman, Matt Bohman, Aaron Drexler and John Paul Bohman. Honorary pallbearer will be Jenny Bohman.

The visitation will be held Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford; and Friday from 10:30 a.m. until service time at St. Joseph's Church. A combined parish and Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary Service will be held on Thursday at 4:15 p.m. at the funeral home.

Margaret was born Feb. 25, 1942, in Marshfield, the daughter of Gilbert and Irene (Griebel) Engmann. She attended St. John's Parochial School and Columbus High School, Marshfield. On Oct. 19, 1963, she and Kenneth L. Bohman were united in marriage at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield.

Early in her life, Margie was employed at the Hillcrest Motel, Marshfield and at Artcraft Homes, Spencer. After her marriage she raised her children on the family farms. Most recently she retired as a beloved ten year cook at The Fresh Country Aire, Stratford. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and enjoyed her two grandchildren, traveling, ceramics, and occasionally gambling for recreation.

She is survived by her husband, Ken; and their children, Brian Bohman of Wausau, Lisa (Jamey) Meador of Edgar, and Christina (Scott) Helms of Stratford. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Wyatt and Madison Meador. She is further survived by her siblings, Carol (Dave) Olson of Milwaukee, Mary Hrebik of Stratford, Janice (Lawrence) Drexler of Rhinelander, and Donald (Kathy) Engmann of Marshfield.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Richard Engmann.
