Eugene Rahn of Horicon Dead at 77
Eugene F. Rahn, 77, of 617 S. Valley St., Horicon, died Thursday evening at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Beaver Dam, following a short illness.
Mr. Rahn, was born Dec. 22, 1892, in the Town of Frankfort, Marathon County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rahn.
He married Miss Linda Hohndorf June 7, 1923. For the past 20 years the couple resided in Horicon.
Mr. Rahn is survived by his widow; one son, Eugene F. Rahn Jr., Route 1, Iron Ridge; two grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard and Carl, Wausau; two sisters, Mrs. Elsbeth Gartman, Wausau, and Mrs. Delma Wassemiller, California.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Rahn was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of Horicon Post 8057 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services for Mr. Rahn will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ulmer Funeral Home, Horicon. The Rev. C. G. Schnorr will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.
