Carl W. Schoenicke
Carl W. Schoenicke, 64, Birnamwood, died at 6 a.m. Sunday at his home after a 3 year illness. He was born Sept. 13, 1895, in the town of Norrie, Marathon County, and was a farmer in the town of Plover, Marathon County, until four years ago when he retired and moved to Birnamwood. Schoenicke was president of the Pine View Cheese factory, Birnamwood, and a former member of the Plover town board.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Birnamwood. Friends may call at the Kopitzke Funeral Home, Birnamwood, after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood.
Schoenicke is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Silsby, Birnamwood; one son, Lester, Waukesha; two brothers, Louis, Antwerp, Ohio; and John, Clintonville; four sisters, Mrs. Herman Lemke, Mrs. Herman Clark, and Mrs. Albert Krueger, all of Birnamwood, and Mrs. Carl Lemke, Ringle, and four grandchildren.
