Herbert H. Manson Dies
Collector of Internal Revenue at Wausau Victim of Erysipelas – Was Leading Democrat
Wausau, Wis., April 29 – Herbert H. Manson, collector of internal revenue of the western district of Wisconsin, died today after an illness of several weeks, of erysipelas. He leaves a wife and one adopted child.
Mr. Manson was born in 1872. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School and was a member of the law firm of Bump and Manson.
He served three terms as city attorney and also was district attorney of Marathon county. He was state chairman of the Democratic party from 1905 to 1900, and was delegate at large to the national convention at Denver, Mr. Manson was a high Mason. He was interested extensively in timber and farm land and local real estate.
