Mroczenski, Vivian V. (Kreft) (July 15, 1927 - June 30, 2011)

Vivian V. Mroczenski, age 83, of Abbotsford, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Vivian was born July 15, 1927, to Cyril and Catherine (Schmidt) Kreft in Athens.

She graduated from Athens High School. Vivian was united in marriage to Alex Mroczenski on September 30, 1950, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Athens.

Vivian was a homemaker, an active member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, and a member of the PCCW. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, embroidering, baking, and flowers. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Vivian is lovingly survived by her children, Julene Romoren of Chicago, Ill., Doris (Gary) McGinley of St. Peters, Mo., Mary Helen Mroczenski of Brookfield, Ronald Mroczenski of Greenfield, Robert (Mickie) Mroczenski of New Berlin, Roger (Peggy) Mroczenski of Milwaukee, Dan (Mary) Mroczenski of Nashota, Elaine (Ken) Marciniak of Wichita, Kan., and Rhonda (Dan) Thompson of Stratford.

She is further survived by her grandchildren, Thomas and Erin McGinley, Katie, Courtney, and Makenzie Mroczenski, Megan and Ryan Mroczenski, and Clare and Isaac Thompson; her step-grandchildren, Miranda and Kali Thompson; her sister, Joyce Ann Kreft of Glenview, Ill.; and her sister-in-law, Sally Whaples of Abbotsford.

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alex; sister, Rita Waluk; and brothers, Donald Kreft and Jerome Kreft.

Memorials are to be made to Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation for Diabetes and Heart Research.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Daniel Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. with a 3 p.m. prayer service Monday July 4, 2011, at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and a visitation Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a procession to the church. Burial will follow the service at Abbotsford Public Cemetery.

Vivian’s family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Marshfield Clinic Wound Healing Program, Dr. Milind Shah, and the Nursing Staff of the C.C.U. at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital.
