Death of Mrs Schulze
Mrs. Augusta Schulze died Tuesday evening at the house of her daughter, Mrs. Victor Klecker, on Fulton street, aged sixty-four years. Death was due to a cancer of the stomach, with which she had been afflicted for over a year past. She had been a resident of this county for nearly forty years. About thirty-eight years ago she was married to Ernst Schulze. In 1874 they moved from this city to San Jose, Cal., residing there five years and then returning to Wausau. Mr. Schulze died in 1895.
Deceased is survived by five children: Mrs. Augusta Homrig, Mrs. Victor Klecker, Mrs. Jos. Wagner, Edward and Henry. All reside here except Mrs. Wagner, who lives in Marathon City. The funeral was held Friday afternoon from St. Stephen's church, Rev. F. Werhahn conducting the services. The pall bearers were E. C. Zimmerman, John Ringle, Jacob Gensman, Henry Seim, E. C. Kretlow and Gustav Mueller. Mrs. Schulze having resided here so long, formed a large acquaintanceship and the many friends of the family are pained to learn of her demise.
