Mr. and Mrs. Warren Mechelke
of York Center have returned from Pine Island, Minn., where they had taken Mrs.
Mechelke’s aunt, Mrs. Lena Locke, to her home. Mrs. Locke spent several days at
the Mechelke home.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderegg of the Town of York
recently entertained several friends and relatives at a dinner. Their guests
were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kissinger of Chili, Mr. and Mrs. Sigert Kresselt of
Spencer, Emma Engstrom of Arcadia, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ackerman of Neillsville,
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Anderegg of the Town of York, Blasé Schwartz of Arcadia and
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Kuechenmeister of Neillsville.
Mrs. Freda Frischman
entertained the York Community Club at a Thanksgiving dinner.
Mr. and
Mrs. Otis Kath of Loyal recently attended funeral services in Kewaskum for
Norman Raack.
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Theisen of Loyal spent a few days
recently in Eau Claire with their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Theisen.
Mrs. LaMonte Johnston and three children of Milwaukee spent a week in Loyal
at the Bud Bremer home.
Merlin Scheer of the state of Washington spent a
few days recently visiting his sister, Mrs. Neil Oestreich and husband. Mr.
Scheer and Mrs. Oestreich had not seen one another for 20 years.
Mrs.
Charles Montgomery and daughters of Milwaukee were recent weekend guests of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Oestreich, while Mr. Montgomery was hunting.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Darton have returned to Loyal from a visit with relatives and
friends in Denver, Colo., Tucson, Ariz., and San Jose, Cal.
