Guests recently at the home of Rose and John Stamcar were: Joseph Stamcar,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenko of Sheboygan, Frank Brezovnik, Sr., and John Brezovnik,
all of Elm Grove.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Herrick, Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Herrick, Joan Susa, Sheila and Nick Noah attended the wedding last week in St.
Paul, Minn., of Sandra Smith and Michael Wieda. On the way back they stopped at
Stillwater to visit Mr. and Mrs. Jack Herrick.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkel
III of Madison were recent guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkel II
Jack Herrick III who was stationed at Colorado Springs, Colo., is now on a
tour in Iceland. He plays the French horn with the Army band. He is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Herrick II of Stillwater, Minn. His mother is the former Emma
Jelercic. Both his parents are former Willard residents. Prior to joining the
army Jack attended Greeley College in Colorado Springs.
Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Volk and daughter, Pam, of Milwaukee and Roney Volk of Vesper were
guests at the Edward Pekol and Rudy Volk homes.
The Christian Mother’s
Society held its annual breakfast and election of officers last Sunday morning
after the 8:30 Mass at the parish center.
Ernie Olson returned Monday to
Chicago, Ill., after spending some time here with his mother, Mrs. Amanda Olson,
and other relatives.
Phillip Plautz and son, Steve, and Paul Plautz, all
of Milwaukee, spent some time with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz.
Don, Scott and Sharon Plautz of Greenwood spent from Sunday until Thursday
last week here with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz.
Susan
Shiel of Greenwood was a guest last Friday of Donna Marie Gosar.
Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Ulesich and Mr. and Mrs. George Dimmitt, daughter, Nancy, and son,
Ricky, of Humbird, were gu4ests recently in Menomonie of Dr. and Mrs. James
Ulesich and family.
Susan and Cynthia Plautz of Greenwood spent from
Thursday until Sunday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz.
Donna Marie Gosar, Patricia Pakiz, Susan Volovsek, Roger Volovsek and John
Metzke visited the research and guidance laboratory in Wausau for superior
students last week. Peggy Volovsek was sick and could not attend.
Mr. and
Mrs. Floyd Plautz and children were recent supper guests of his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Steve Plautz.
Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz were business callers in Eau
Claire last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ulesich were guests Sunday of Mr.
and Mrs. Alfonz Hemersbach in Greenwood.
Last Sunday the temperature was
four degrees below zero in the morning. In the afternoon the temperature rose
considerably but was still on the cool side.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fraid
of Milwaukee were guests of her mother Mrs. Anna Volovsek.
Raymond
Klapatauskas of Cudahy spent some time last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Klapatauskas.
Guests last week at the Joe Tolaney, Jr., home were
Mr. and Mrs. John Tolaney and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilhelm and family of
Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Tolaney of Stevens Point and Joe Jeras, Jr., of
Lyons, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schmith and family of Joliet, Ill., spent
the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bayuk, in the Rock Dam area.
Mrs. Schmith is the former Evelyn Bayuk.
Guests Sunday at the Joe
Tolaney, Jr., home were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tolaney, Sr., of Greenwood and Mr. and
Mrs. Val St. John of Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkel, Jr., and
Mrs. John Verschay were in Stevens Point Saturday as guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Jerry Baird and family.
