Asplin, James Glen (? - 16
December 1968)
Funeral services were held Friday from the Georgas Funeral
home for James Glen Asplin, 74, who died December 16, 1968. The Rev. W. C.
Koehler of the United Church of Christ officiated. Burial was made in the
Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Lee, Glen and Calvin mils, Wally
Gordell, Hubert C. Asplin and Donald Asplin. “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” and
“Abide with Me” were sung by Arlyn Mills, accompanied by Mrs. Mills.
People from out of town here for the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Mills and
Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Mills of Owen; Mrs. Gertrude Asplin of Waupaca; Mrs. Edith
Pugh and Wally Gordell of Seattle, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sackett of Alma
Center; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ampe, Miss Lynn Asplin and Mary Smart of Marshfield;
Mr. and Mrs. C. Roger Asplin of California; Lorraine Neuleib of Madison; Arthur
E. Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Osborne Attae, Mrs. M. L. Jackson of Madison; Mr. and
Mrs. Duane Story of Jim Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Story, Mrs. Lillian Story
and Miss Gladys story of Hannibal.
