Lichte, Amelia (26 April 1886 - January 1969)
Funeral
services for Mrs. Amelia Lichte, 82, of Owen, and formerly of Neillsville were
held Monday from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norman W.
Lindloff officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. She was a
member of the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church here.
Mrs. Lichte,
the former Amelia Rupprecht, was born April 26, 1886, in Waukesha. She was the
daughter of the late George and Caroline (Lueck) Rupprecht. She attended
Neillsville area schools. Her parents operated the Globe store. She worked as
clerk in the former Zimmerman and Dangers stores in Neillsville for many years,
and also as a sales clerk in Waukesha. On August 31, 1934, she was married in
Marshfield to Albert Lichte, who died in 1952. They lived in Waukesha for a few
years and came to Neillsville in 1948.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs.
Anna Frantz of Neillsville; and a brother, George Rupprecht of Neillsville.
Pallbearers were: Herman Moen, Paul Jacob, Dale Hake, Joe Resong, Ray
Kutsche and Harry Wedekind.
People from out of town here for the funeral
included Mr. and Mrs. Everett Rupprecht, Nancy, Bruce and David Rupprecht of
Coon Rapids, Minn.; and Mrs. Franklin Schaub of Milwaukee.
