Frank Paul (22 Apr 1890 – 27 Aug 1956)
Funeral services
were held Wednesday, Aug. 29, at 2:00 p.m. from the Lutheran church in Beaver
Dam for Frank Paul, 66, who died of a heart attack in Abbotsford about 2:00 a.m.
Monday. He had been visiting his brothers and sisters in this community
(Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) the past week.
Frank Paul was born April 22,
1890 in the town of Little Black. He was reared there, and farmed in the area
until 1945, when he moved to Horicon. On Nov. 29, 1911, he was married to Miss
Emma Brechlin, who died in 1953. Since his wife’s death, he had resided with a
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. R. Armstrong, in Beaver Dam.
Surviving are two
sons, Lloyd of Appleton, and Harold of Beaver Dam, and a daughter, Mildred (Mrs.
R. Armstrong), Beaver Dam; seven grandchildren; four brothers: Albert, Edgar and
Henry, town of Little Black; Rudolph, town of Holton; four sisters: Mrs. George
(Hattie) Empey, Abbotsford; Mrs. Ed (Ella) Brechlin, town of Mayville, Mrs. Gust
(Emma) Brechlin, Abbotsford, and Mrs. Walter (Louise) Brunner, town of Little
Black.
A brother, Julius, and a sister, Mrs. Richard Schreiber, preceded
him in death.
All his brothers and sisters from here attended the
funeral except Mrs. Brunner who is on a trip and couldn’t return in time. Mr.
and Mrs. Russell Brechlin also attended.
