Agnes Emilia Petersen ( 3 Mar 1909 – 19 Mar 1961)

Funeral services for Miss Agnes Petersen 52, were held from Peace Evangelical and Reformed church here (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI) today (Thursday). The Rev. Fred W. Kollath, pastor, officiated at the rites at 2 p.m. Mrs. Frank Rauscher and Mrs. Ray Pope sang “In a Garden” and “Abide with Me.” Miss Olga Genrich, organist at the rites, played accompaniment for the singers.

Burial was in the Peace Cemetery, with Polnaszek Funeral Home of Abbotsford in charge. Pallbearers were George Erickson, Louis Erickson, Joseph Miller, Clarence Hiebl, Frank Bartnik and Frank Schopper.

Miss Petersen died suddenly early Sunday morning in Lake Forest, Ill., where she had been employed the past several years. A heart attack caused her death.

Agnes Emelia Petersen was born March 3, 1909 in Big Flats. She came to this community in 1913 with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Nels Petersen, when they settled in the town of Holton. She attended school in the rural school near her home.

Surviving are three brothers and two sisters, Hans and Walter of Milwaukee, Henry on the home farm in the town of Holton, Mrs. Wade Wellner of Hancock, and Miss Anne Petersen of Lake Forest, Ill.
