Cards have been received here announcing the
marriage of Harry J. Root of Minneapolis, formerly of Neillsville, and Miss
Hazel Rogers of Red Wing, Minn., at St. Joseph’s Church at that place on
Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1915, at 7 a.m., Rev. Father P. Carey officiating. The groom is
a son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Root of Pleasant Ridge and has many friends here. The
bride is a dAughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Fremont Rogers of Red Wing. After the
ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents.
The groom holds a responsible position at Boutell’s, the largest retail
furniture store in the Twin Cities. The young couple left Red Wing at 1:15
Tuesday and will visit at several points in Minnesota and Wisconsin. After two
weeks they will return to the Twin Cities to reside. Their many friends wish
them a long and happy life.
