Hewett (5 Aug 1915)

Mr. and Mrs. Lon Cook and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ayers autoed to Lake Arbutus Sunday.

Several from here attended the circus Friday. It was good.

Gilbert Gangra spent a couple of days visiting at the Lon Cook home last week.

Mrs. H. Albutch spent Sunday with Mrs. H. Schultz.

Bennie Hart and Hollie Moffatt came home from Alma Center Monday. They will go to Dakota this week to harvest.

With so much rain it makes the crops look doubtful.

Paul and Richard Albretch drove to Alma Center Sunday to visit their sister, Mrs. H. Collins.

Thanks, North Hewett, for your words of appreciation last week. It is nice to be appreciated, isn’t it?

(Last week)
Susie and Elsie Hanel of Merrillan and Myrth Evans spent a few days visiting at the Aiden Metcalf home.

John Durst lost a nice yearling heifer this week.

Lon Cook and wife and Jerry Randall and wife went to Halcion Sunday in search of the finney tribe, and returned home Tuesday in the rain and mud, but got a nice lot of fish anyway.

Clara Imoberstig spent Sunday with Ethel Cook.

Ernest Marden built a new chimney on Will Ritchie’s house.
