Rossman, Fred (Wisconsin Rifle Team – 19 Aug 1915)

Fred Rossman, the crack shot of Co. A, spent last week at Camp Douglass shooting with 36 other crack shots for the honor of making the Wisconsin team to the national shoot. Fred landed in 11th place, having been tied for 10th and being shoved down to 11th in rapid fire. This is some record to make when it is considered that 36 of the best marksmen out of all the Wisconsin National Guard were there to compete for the honor. Rossman made the rifle team and will go to Florida sometime in September to take part in the national shoot at which time the picked riflemen of all the National Guards of every state in the union will be there to take part.
