Pleasant Ridge (26 Aug 1915)
The social Friday night was
well attended and $16 cleared.
Mrs. Geo. Swann and sister, Blanche,
entertained Class No. 2 of 8 little girls Friday afternoon. Vida Kier took the
peanut prize.
Geo. Swann, Arlo Huckstead, Geo. Wilding, Richard Selves
and some others went to Stevens Point to attend the circus Friday. They also
went to Marshfield Fair Thursday.
Mr. Swanebeck and wife and Mr. Gall and
wife and son of Sherwood Forest spent Sunday at Richard Selves’.
Eva
Lambert of Tomah, May Huckstead, Mrs. Hills, Mesdames Carter, Brown and Blackman
spent Sunday at Ed. Huckstead’s.
The club girls met with Mary Huckstead
Tuesday afternoon.
Quite a number from here went to Shortville last
Wednesday afternoon to attend the picnic.
Richard Selves bought his girls
a player piano of Joe Lowe last Friday.
Mr. Nicholson of Iowa moved his
family from the Wren farm Monday. Mrs. Wren and dAughter talk of moving back
from Day.
Leah Cook is visiting in Milwaukee.
Edna Snyder spent
last week with Nina Selves.
Geo. Howard, Ed. Selves and wives autoed to
Christie Sunday.
