Carl Habeck (8 Mar 1895 - 3 Jan 1971)

Dorchester -- Carl Habeck, 75, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Sunday, Jan. 3, at 6:45 p.m. after being hospitalized for a week.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 7, at 1:30 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ, and burial will be made in Dorchester Memorial cemetery. The Rev. Milton Petzold will officiate. The body will repose at the Maurina Funeral Home from 3 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the services.

Mr. Habeck was born March 8, 1895, in the town of Mayville, and was married Jan. 8, 1919, to Mary Lindau at Peace Evangelical Church, Dorchester.

The couple farmed in the town of Mayville until 1948, when they moved to Dorchester. Mr. Habeck did carpenter work.

He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Arthur and LaVerne, both of Oshkosh; two daughters, Mrs. Percy (Helen) Maxam, Appleton, and Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Abegglen, Stetsonville; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
