Elsie Pupp (15 May 1910 - 11 Mar 1953)

Funeral services for Mrs. William Pupp, 42, daughter of Mrs. Anna Geiger of this village (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI), were held Saturday from St. Bernard's Catholic church, Abbotsford. The Rev. Father Bernard Schultz officiated at the Requiem High Mass at 9:30 a.m., and burial was in the Abbotsford cemetery. Mrs. Pupp died about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, near Wisconsin Dells, enroute to a Madison hospital by ambulance. She had been ill only a few days and entered St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Monday of last week, from where she was being taken to Madison when death came.

Elsie Mary Geiger was born here May 15, 1910, and was married in St. Louis Catholic church to William Pupp on Sept. 2, 1931. She resided near Fenwood for a time, later moving to the town of Holton, and for the past 16 years, the family has farmed east of Abbotsford.

Besides her mother, surviving are her widower and five children: Raymond 19, Lucianne 15, John 11, Eugene 7, and Bernice 5, all at home. A number of brothers and sisters also survive, including Mike and Frank Geiger of the town of Mayville. Her father and a brother, Benedict, preceded her in death.
