BAKERVILLE.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Peterson this week, a girl.

Martin H. Jensen will build a new house the coming summer. Mrs. Thos. Thompson is Buying & few days with Mrs. Peter R, Ebbe.

It Is said that John Eckes will put up a cheese factory on his farm this spring. Lambert Michels lost & horse lost Monday and bought one to replace him from F. Paul.

Louis Christensen bought a 3-year-old colt at Frank Yahnke's auction last Monday.

Mrs. John H. Ebbe has been visiting at the home of her son-in-law. Joseph Couture.

Christ Erikson is traveling salesman for the grocery house of John Sexton & Co. of Chicago.

Andrew Peterson sold 40 acres of land, the SE 1/4 of SW 1/2 Sect. 20, to Ben Wood a few days ago for $250.00.

It is reported that word has been received from P. P. Klook at Denver, Col,, that his wife was seriously ill.

Owen Peck and Verne Nason are reported to have formed a co-partnership to make maple syrup near Chili this spring.

Frank Merrill has commenced operations to make maple sugar and syrup this spring. It is said he will tap about 300 trees.

Lawrence Benrdelin came up from Oshkosh, and is getting materials together to build himself a home on his land near John Jerschele.

Elmer Roy who has bought the former Herman Poppe farm has made arrangements to build a house and fix up the barn on his place this spring.

The town board and town clerk met at Leitertz Hall last Tuesday to audit accounts against the town and settle with the town treasurer and the road commissioners.

A caucus was held in Leitertz Hall last Tuesday evening at which the following ticket was placed in nomination: Town supervisors, P. N. Christensen, Math. Jonus and John Jerschele; Clerk, Henry Ebbe; Treasurer, Anton Henseler; Assessor, James Cattanach; Justices of Peace, Frank Luuschen, H. F. Thiel and Will Ebbe; Constables, Jos. Regele and Dan Cattanach.
