Mrs. John Cisen, Jayme and
Ruth, who were visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin,
left tor their home in Reno, Nev., December 17, just in time to escape the snow
and cold weather we’ve had here.
Mrs. Laura Dignin is now at her home
here, while her sister, Mrs. Ed Barkley is again a patient in Luther hospital.
The order of Eastern Star Christmas Party was held January 2, at the
home of Mrs. Henry Laffe.
Ed Harris was taken to the Black River Falls
hospital Saturday morning, seriously ill.
Mrs. Emma Gerber returned Monay
after spending the holidays with her sister, Mrs. Wendell Riggs, in Zion , Ill.,
her brother, John Aebersold, in Rockford, and in Madison with Mrs. Fred Berber.
Gilbert Nelson is in the Black River Falls hospital, ill with pneumonia.
Callers at the John Greub home Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Zimmerman, Mr.
and Mrs. William Theiler, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mashin and Mrs. Laura Baumgartner.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Mashin of Tomah visited Sunday at the home of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mashin. Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Karl of Neillsville also
visited Sunday at the Mashin home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Noyes and Beverly of
Eau Claire were dinner guests Sunday at the Chester Bailey home.
Mr. and
Mrs. Levi Fitzmaurice and Mildred visited Sunday at the home of their son, Bob,
in Augusta.
Among our sick folks, Mr. Raymond and Mrs. Jarolimek are some
better; Ellis Williams is home from the hospital; Sam and Alice Fitzmaurice are
better; and Mrs. Fred Barr was to go to Eau Claire Monday for a checkup on her
eye.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hart spent Christmas with their daughter,
Karen, Mrs. and Mrs. LeRoy Siegerstrom of Park Forest, Ill. Mr. Siegerstrom has
been transferred by his company to a position in California.
Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Staves and Miss Christine Newell and friend of St. Paul spent the
holidays with the home folks.
Roy Johnson left Sunday morning for
Louisiana, where he will spend a week.
Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hein of Chipita
Park, Colo., spent the Christmas holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F.
Hein. They found bad roads coming and when they returned.
Albert
Zimmerman is reported ill with the flu.
Mrs. Art Allen will enter the
hospital this week for surgery.
