Shadrick, Jack A. (24 JAN 1943 - 2 JUL 2012)

Jack A. Shadrick, age 69, of Beloit, died on Monday, July 2, 2012, at Azura Memory Care, Beloit.

He was born in Greenwood Township, WI on Jan. 24, 1943, the son of Roy and Ruth (Jarchow) Shadrick. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Jack married Irene Matson in Withee, WI on June 20, 1964, and moved to the Janesville area in 1966. He had been employed by General Motor and retired in April of 2000. He had been a member of the UAW Local 95, loved coaching Rock Summer Baseball, enjoyed being a 4H Leader and a foster parent.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Irene Shadrick of Beloit; 2 children, Michael Shadrick and Jodi Harris both of Janesville; 3 grandchildren: Vinny, Brandon and Cameron; 7 siblings: Betty Billiot of Louisiana, Bob (Donna) Shadrick of Medford, Dennis (Joan) Shadrick of Granton, Sharon (Roger) Matson of Janesville, Barb (Randy) Manecke of Marathon City, David (Sheila) Shadrick of Medford and Joan (Richie) Dahl of Athens, WI; many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 6, 2012, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. Bruce Gray officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at the church. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Lasting memorials may be made to the Rock County Alzheimers Center. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
