Schwarze, Augusta Mathilda (15 July 1882 - 12 January 1969)

Mrs. Simon Schwarze, 86, of Greenwood, died Sunday in Neillsville, where she had resided since October, 1966.

Mrs. Schwarze, the former Augusta Mathilda Kotsch, was born July 15, 1882, in Germany. She came to Fairchild from Germany at the age of 12. She was married July 20, 1901, in Fairchild to Simon Schwarze, who died April 12, 1955. She resided in Greenwood until two years ago, when she entered Memorial Home.

Survivors are two sons, Wesley Schwarze of Greenwood and Herbert Schwarze of Hopkins, Minn.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday afternoon from Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenwood, with the Rev. Leroy Urman officiating.

Funeral services for Mrs. Simon Schwarze were held last week Wednesday from the Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Leroy Urman officiated and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were George Stark, George Zuehlke, Sr., Alfred Zillmer, Herman Metzke, Elmer Learman, and John Jakobi. The congregation sang “What a Friend we Have in Jesus” and “Abide with me” with Franklin McMiller of Withee as organ accompanist.

Those from away who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schwarze of Hopkins, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schwarze, Jr., of Sioux City, Ia.; the Rev. and Mrs. Roger Schwarze of South Milwaukee; Mrs. Emil Schwarze of Marshfield; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Woldt and daughters of Park Falls.
