Goebel, Nelda (17 October 1891 - 13 January 1969)

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant for Mrs. Nelda Goebel, 72, of Rt. 1 Granton, who died Monday in Neillsville. The Rev. Evan Dieck will officiate. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Goebel, the former Nelda Garbisch, was born October 17, 1891, in Granton. On November 25, 1908, she was married to Paul Goebel, who died in 1966. They farmed for many years in the Town of Grant. She was a member of the Zion American Lutheran Church.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Ervin (Edna) Garbisch, Mrs. Carl (Leona) Krause, Mrs. Martin (Norma) Krause and Mrs. Raymond (Verna) Kurth, all of the Granton area. Other survivors include 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William Seehafer of Marshfield; and a brother Edmund Garbisch of Milwaukee.

Pallbearers were: Wallace, Kenneth, Roger Krause and Wayne, Glenn and Michael Kurth.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home.
