North Clark County (16 January 1969)
Mr. and Mrs.
Carl Moen and daughter of Marshfield were recent guests of Mrs. Moen’s father,
Richard Schmidt, in Dorchester.
Robert Batten, who has been spending the
last two years in El Salvador, Central America, with the Peace Corps, has been
spending a few weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Batten, in Dorchester.
Bob has signed up for another year with the Peace Corps and will be leaving soon
for duty in Guatemala.
Mr. and Mrs. William Ludwig have returned to
Dorchester from Deerfield, Fla., where they visited their son, Gerald, and
family. They were accompanied to Florida by Mr. and Mr. Loren Ludwig and Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Ludwig of West Bend.
Mrs. Walter Pickett of Muncie, Ind., is
spending some time in Dorchester with Pauline and Eugene Skerbeck.
Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Eklund and children have returned to Tallahassee, Fla.,
following a two-week visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Anderson, in
Dorchester. They also visited relatives in Medford.
The Thorp fire
department was called out recently to extinguish a chimney fire at the Grace
Boardman home in Thorp. There was minor damage to wallboard around the chimney.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Beier and daughter of Beloit were recent weekend guests
at the George Burzynski, Jr., home in Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Pederson
and two children of Mankato, Minn., were guests recently of Mrs. Ruth Bonk and
son in Thorp.
