Edwin Holtz (3 Jul 1896 - 4 Apr 1952)

Funeral services were held at Junction City Wednesday, April 7, for Edwin Holtz, 56, former resident of the village (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI), who died Sunday evening in St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield. Some years ago, Holtz in partnership with his brother Herman, operated a store here at the location where the Neal Smith, Inc. factory now stands. He had been ill several months, and was a patient in the hospital since March 24.

Final rites were held from St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church at 2 p. m. and burial was in Forest Hill cemetery, Wisconsin Rapids.

Edwin Holtz was born July 3, 1896, at Algoma, and at the age of 10 years moved to Medford with his parents. He was married to Ottilia Hurtienne at Medford on April 19, 1917. They moved to Milladore in 1938. Holtz owned and operated feed mills at Milladore and Junction City.

His widow survives, as do three daughters, four brothers, and 11 grandchildren. A daughter, four sisters and a brother precede him in death.
