Schlais, Clarence E. (31 JUL 1927 - 8 MAY 2012)

Clarence E. Schlais, 84, Westboro, died on Tuesday, May 8 at Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center in Medford.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 11 at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Christ in Medford, with Pastor Cathy Hinman officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

July 31, 1927 at North Dakota

EDUCATION:
Medford elementary schools and attended Medford High School

MARRIAGE INFORMATION:
February 23, 1946 at Stevens Point, WI to Marjorie Rogers, she survives

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE:
After his education he entered the US Merchant Marines. After his marriage, he worked as a baker at Gruener Bakery in Medford. He also worked as a foreman at Hurd Millwork in Medford until retirement. In retirement, they traveled and then he went to work for Weather Shield, Mfg. in Medford for a period of time. He enjoyed hunting, fishing traveling and carpentry work as he also constructed a few Medford area homes.

Barbara (Roger) Steen, town of Westboro

SURVIVING SON:
Steven (Carol) Schlais, Mitchell, SD
