Gerald "Jerry" A. Storch, 75, Stetsonville, died on
Friday, April 20 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where he had
been a patient the past two weeks.
Funeral services will be held on
Friday, April 27 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Stetsonville, with Rev.
James Babler officiating. Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in
Stetsonville.
Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 8:30
a.m. until the time of service.
Hemer Funeral Home of Medford assisted
the family with arrangements.
Gerald Storch was born on September 6, 1936
in the Town of Little Black to the late Raymond T. and Gladys M. (Meschefske)
Storch. He attended Stetsonville Grade School and Medford High School.
On
December 20, 1969 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Medford, he married Elva L.
Zuleger, who survives. He was a grader operator for the Town of Little Black,
and was an operating engineer working for Overgaard, CR Meyer, HF Radandt,
Mid-State, PC Kaiser, Bacco, Johnson Brothers and Hanz, retiring in 1995 due to
health reasons.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Operating
Engineers Local 139. He enjoyed attending his grandson Garett's sporting events,
working crossword puzzles, gardening and working in the woods.
In
addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Jared A. (Heather) of Medford;
two brothers, Robert R. (Margaret Hulka) of Muskegon, Mich., and Kenneth E.
(Darla) of Medford; a grandson, Garett Ray Storch of Medford; and nieces and
nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial to be made in
his name to Zion Lutheran Church.
