LeRoy J. Zenker, 71, Slinger, died on Monday,
April 30 at Aurora Medical Center in Hartford, where he had been a patient the
past week.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4 at the United
Church of Christ in Medford, with Pastor Cathy Hinman officiating. Burial will
be at Medford Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bill Weldon, Arden Brusten,
Jim Metz and Chris Miller.
Visitation will be held at the church on
Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Hemer Funeral Home of
Medford assisted the family with arrangements.
LeRoy Zenker was born on
October 8, 1940 in Medford to the late Edwin R. and Dorothy (Miller) Zenker.
He attended Medford elementary schools, was a 1959 graduate of Medford High
School and attended Milwaukee Technical College.
On January 31, 1975 in
Waukegan, Ill., he married Theresa "Terry" Fradl, who survives. After his
education, he worked in various places including Harley Davidson in Milwaukee as
a computer technician. In 1980 they moved to Slinger and he worked at Force
Outboard Motors in Hartford, then at Memorial Park in West Bend for 14 years. He
retired in 2001 due to ill health.
He was a member of the NRA and trap
and pistol shooting leagues. He enjoyed hunting, trap shooting and shooting
handguns.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a step-son,
Christopher (Jodi) Miller of Brown Deer.
The family requests memorial
contributions to the Leukemia Society.
