WITEK-MILLER NUPTIALS PERFORMED AT HOLY ROSARY CHURCH FEBRUARY 8TH
Miss
Alice M. Witek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Witek of Withee, became the
bride of Dennis J. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Miller of Withee, on
Saturday, February 8th at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen at
10:00 a.m. The wedding ceremony was
performed by the Rev. H. L. Crubel.
The
bride’s gown was of fine, faille taffeta with a train.
The molded, lace bodice carved to a V at the waistline and was styled
with a scalloped Sabrina neckline with seed pearl and iridescent sequin
embroidery. The long lace sleeves
tapered to points over the wrists where they were secured with covered buttons.
The skirt was shirred at the waistline.
It had a pickup in front accented with a lace rose.
The pickup revealed alternating lace and tulle tiers.
The skirt back had lace tiers with tulle edging which went into the full
sweep train.
The
bridal veil of imported English silk illusion in fingertip length was secured to
a pearl band crown with large pearl loops, large pearl droplets trimmed the
inner loops.
The
bridal bouquet was cascade with red roses and white pompons handclipped,
rosepoint lace over white with roses on streamers.
Attending
the bride as her matron of honor was Mrs. Eleanor Danczak of Withee.
The bridesmaids were Miss Sandra Wittek, of Lublin and Miss Diane Miller
of Withee. They wore identical
sapphire blue street length dresses of beau de soie which featured three quarter
length sleeves and a straight skirt with two bows at the waistline and a
straight panel in front and overskirt that hooked at the waist.
Their crown and circular veils matched the color of their dresses.
They carried bouquets of white carnations and blue pompons.
The
ushers were Mr. Tom Swienton, Chicago, and Mr. Jerry Roberts, Owen.
A wedding
breakfast and reception was held at the Meadowview Country Club, Owen.
Guests
attending from out of town came from Sheldon, Rhinelander, Chicago, Stanley,
Wausau, Stratford, Thorp, Lublin, Colby and Eau Claire.
The bride
is a graduate of the Owen-Withee Senior High and is employed as inspector and
driller for the Testing Service Corporation in Lombard, Ill.
The
newlyweds will make their home at 31 May Street, Apt. C., Addison, Ill.
