home Wednesday, Dec. 28, with the Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating at 2:00 p. m.
Misses Dorothy and Marilyn Kieser sang for the rites. Burial was in Dorchester
Memorial cemetery here, with the following, all grandsons of the deceased,

Mr. Kalepp, who had suffered ill health for the past four
years, died at his home in Abbotsford at 3 a. m. Sunday, Dec 25. He had resided
in Abbotsford 25 years following a move there from the farm (in town of Holton,
Marathon Co., WI) east of this village (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI). He had
operated a tavern in Abbotsford until his retirement about seven years ago.
Adolph Gustav Kalepp was born in Saxony, Germany, Jan. 30, 1874, and came to
this country with his parents when six years old. The family settled on a farm
in the town of Holton where he resided until his move to Abbotsford, and which
now is operated by his son Clarence. He learned the blacksmithing trade from the
late Gustav Genrich of this village, and followed that calling for a number of
years, later farming the family acres east of the village. He and Minnie Sauter
were married here Oct. 12, 1902.
Surviving are his widow, five children:
Harold, Norman, William and Alice (Mrs. Gilbert Kattre) all of Abbotsford, and
Clarence, town of Holton; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a
brother, Herman Kalepp, Butte, Mont.; and a sister, Mrs. Rose Ritz, North Bend,
Ore.
Two daughters, a son, three sisters and two brothers preceded him in
death.
