Arthur Schrader (3 Sep 1913 – 22
Apr 1970)
Dorchester – Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday St. Peter’s
Lutheran Church here (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI), for Arthur Schrader, 57, of
route 1, Dorchester, who died Thursday at 11:20 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital
after being in ill health the past several months.
The Rev. F. H.
Sprengler, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in Dorchester Memorial
cemetery.
Visitations may be made at the Maurina Funeral Home in
Dorchester from 3 p.m. Saturday until 12:30 p.m. Sunday, and then at the church.
Mr. Schrader was born Sept. 3, 1913, in Dorchester and was educated there.
He was married in Waukegan, Ill., Sept 2, 1935, to Florence Buell.
From
1936 until 1945 the couple resided at Medford where Mr. Schrader operated a shoe
repair business. From 1945 until 1969 he farmed in the town of Mayville, after
retiring from farming, he had been employed at Liberty Homes in Dorchester until
several months ago when he became ill.
He was a member of St. Peter’s
Lutheran Church, and had served as a church elder the past 12 years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Donna Mae) Graffunder,
Medford; a son, Marvin Schrader, Sheboygan; three grandchildren; two brothers,
Otto Schrader, Park Falls; and Arnold Schrader, Richfield; four sisters, Mrs.
Anna Schwartztrauber, Ladysmith; Mrs. Lydia Shanklin, Iola; Mrs. Odelia Hemling,
Rio, Wis.; and Mrs. Hilda Rau, Menomonee Falls.
