Mr. and Mrs. Vincent, Mrs. Maurice Neste and their mother,
Mrs. Catherine Lindner, spent several days with relatives in St. Nazianz,
Milwaukee and Manitowoc.
Recent guests at the William Denk home were Mr.
and Mrs. Elmer Bruss and son, and Mrs. Frances Bruss of Spencer.
Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Brandt of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. James Merrill of Abbotsford, Mrs.
Clara Rossow of loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Salzwedel, Mrs. Lawrence Ness and Mrs.
Helma Salzwedel of Rhinelander, Mrs. Lawrence Tessmer and Mrs. Beatrice Heinzen
of Marshfield spent last week Tuesday in Greenwood with relatives and attended
the funeral of Charles Rossow.
Danny Alan, infant son of Mr. and Mrs.
William Denk of Greenwood, was baptized by the Rev. Leander Koopman following
the 10 a.m. mass Sunday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Sponsors were Mr. and
Mrs. Allen Schoonover of Loyal. The sponsors and their family were dinner guests
at the Denk home.
The Birthday club was entertained Monday by Mrs. Lee
Corey with a 6:30 p.m. dinner at the café followed by cards at the Corey home.
Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Rose Ludwig, Mrs. Catherine Lindner, Mrs. Palmer
Vinger and Mrs. Hazel Helwig.
Friends honored Mrs. Henry Keiner with a
belated birthday celebration held Sunday evening in Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs.
Leroy John of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Don Warner were guests Sunday at the
Harold Warner home in Chetek. The men attended the installation of Harold Warner
as worshipful master at the Masonic Hall there and the venison feed following
the installation.
Mrs. Maurice Neste of Seattle, Wash., the former Carmen
Lindner, is spending two weeks with her mother, Mrs. Catherine Linder, and other
relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Nielsen and daughter, Mrs. John Lindner
and Miss Dianne Lindner spent the weekend with relatives in Milwaukee.
Tuesday afternoon and dinner guests at the Hubert Horn home were Elery Poppe of
Stafford, Va., Mrs. Mike Schuman of Watertown, S. D., Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Hendrickson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Horn, Mrs. George Poppe and Mrs. Gust Horn.
