John Leslie
Blennert, 66, died on Sunday, June 10. Interment will take place at St. Ann's
Cemetery in Rib Lake on Saturday, June 23.
John Blennert was born on
October 22, 1945 to the late John Joseph and Fern Blennert. He served in Vietnam
in the 173rd Airborne Green Beret Paratrooper from 1964 to 1967 as a Class SP4.
Survivors include three daughters, Kelly (Henry) Whitten of Seneca, S.C.,
Shannon Kruszynski of Hobart, Ind. and Kim Howard of Lake Station, Ind.; four
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Jerry (Edie) Roiger
of Medford; four nieces, Kim (Paul) Probst and Geralyn (Jeff) Schreiner, both of
Rib Lake, Shelia (Nick) Nice of Medford and Sherry (John) Olson of Westboro; and
two nephews, Tim (Gwen) Roiger of Westboro and Larry (Val) Roiger of Medford.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Roiger.

Society of Veterans Association
