Bud Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Szymanski and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jess
Winkler, all of Cadott, called recently at the Edmund Cook home in Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs. Malen Teclaw and daughter, and Mrs. Verna Teclaw, of Thorp,
visited in Wausau at the Richard Teclaw home.
Mr. and Mrs. William
Boardman spent a weekend in Madison visiting their daughters, LaVonne and Julie.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Soderberg of Marinette recently visited relatives in Thorp
and Mrs. Esther Stewart, who is in the Stanley hospital.
Mr. and Mrs.
Larry Bradley and children of Jim Falls were recent visitors at the Joseph
Benzschawel home in Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Soeller of Thorp were supper
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Geisler of Greenwood. Mr. and Mrs. John Samsal of
Stanley, who spent a week at the Soeller home, accompanied them to the Geisler
home.
Mr. and Mrs. Layton Asselin of Thorp spent several days with Mr.
and Mrs. Orville Asselin in Eau Claire.
Mr. and Mrs. William Butek of
Thorp have returned from Chicago, Ill., where they visited their daughter, Mrs.
Emery Valek, and family.
Recent weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Benzschawel of Thorp were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lemberger of Manitowoc. The
Benzschawels and their guest visited Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bradley and family in
Jim Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil A. Hansen of Withee have sold their
business, the Hansen Mercantile, to Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mueller and Mr. and Mrs.
Jerome LePage of Withee. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen, who have operated the store for
the last 42 years, will continue to reside in the rear of the store, having
retained ownership of the building.
Mr. and Mrs. William Sedlack of
Dorchester quietly observed their Golden wedding anniversary February 11. They
plan a golden wedding celebration June 22, when their son, Robert, of Alameda,
Cal., will be able to attend.
Dr. A. W. Schief of Dorchester, and his
son, Gordon, of Waterloo, Ia., are visiting their grandson and son, Michael, who
is stationed in Pensacola, Fla., with the navy.
