Koutrelakos, Theresa "Terry" (Stauner) (21 FEB 1935 - 30 APR 2012)

Theresa "Terry" Koutrelakos, 71, Winthrope, Maine, died on Monday, April 30.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 5 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lewiston, Maine, with Father Theodore N. Toppses officiating. Interment was held on Sunday, May 6 at Greek Orthodox Cemetery in Dover, N.H.

Roberts Funeral Home of Winthrop assisted the family with arrangements.

The former Theresa Stauner was born on February 21, 1965 in Medford to the late Joseph and Susan (Kellner) Stauner. She attended Wisconsin schools.

She married Peter Koutrelakos, who preceded her in death in 1990. They lived in the Chicago, Ill., area then relocated to Dover in 1963. In 1983, they moved to Winthrop where she worked as the head cook at Heritage Nursing Home until retirement.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, and was received the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston-Ministry Award in June 2010.

Survivors include three sons, Gregory of Cumming, Ga., Kenneth of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kevin of Winthrop; a daughter, Cindy (Mike) Brunelle of Pelham, N.H.; two sisters, Catherine Dassow of Whittlesey and Agnes (Ray) Carstensen of Medford; one brother, Alvin (Lillian) of Medford; and seven grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Florence Broeske, Minnie Reynolds, Christie Gilles and Mary Dassow, and five brothers, Joe, John, Larry, Herbert and Albert.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
