Peterson, Jeanette L. (Gritz) (21 NOV 1916 - 25 MAY 2012)

Jeanette L. Peterson, 95, Medford, died on Friday, May 25. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 28 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger officiating.

Burial was at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Chicago, Ill. Pallbearers were Robert, Michael and Kenneth Ryszkiewicz and Shawn Davies.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

The former Jeanette Gritz was born on November 21, 1916 in Chicago to the late Louis and Frances Gritz. She attended Chicago area schools.

On November 21, 1916 in Chicago, she married Raymond Peterson, who preceded her in death in 1978. She worked at Sears and Nabisco Foods in Chicago until retirement, then to Medford in 2005.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, cooking, baking, traveling and bowling.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Peterson of Medford; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a half sister.
