Elaine Belle Whitson, 73, De Pere, passed away on
Saturday, June 23, 2012.
She was born on March 3, 1939, a daughter of
the late John and Dorothy (Schofer) Dunkel, in the Medford area. She attended
Larson Elementary School, Medford High School and MATC.
Elaine enjoyed
hiking, scenic drives, flowers, and loved photography and her cat Sara Lee.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Dee Skenandore; grandchildren, Tanya
(Matthew) Krueger, Michael (Rose Parisot) Paszkiewicz, Ricky Paszkiewicz,
Katherine Whitson, Tara Paszkiewicz, Brian Brzezinski and Brenda Brzezinski;
seven great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Loren) Lord; sister, Joyce (Roger)
Goeser; two nieces, Debra and Patty Jo; and three nephews, Loran, Lee and Roger
Jr.; Susan Brzezinski, mother of Paszkiewicz and Brzezinski grandchildren; and
Alma Whitson, mother of Katherine Whitson.
Elaine was preceded in death
by her son, David Shane Whitson, and her parents.
A Mass of Christian
Burial was held on Tuesday, June 26 at Our Lady of Lourdes Family Parish, with
Father Tim Shillcox, O. Praem officiating. Burial was at Holy Rosary Cemetery in
