FINAL RITES HELD FOR FAUSTIN LALONDE WED.
Masonic services for Faustin M. LaLonde were conducted
Wednesday afternoon at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home with Louis Burhop,
Worshipful
Master of the Owen Masonic Chapter officiating.
Burial was made at Mt. Hope Cemetery at
Ashland.
Kenneth Mathewson, Roy Segerstom, Shurleigh Grimes, Carl
Holverson, Henry M. Wollum and Rolland Haire acted as pallbearers.
Faustin M. LaLonde was born February 15, 1894, in
Michigan and passed away Sunday, May 3, at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield
where he had been confined for several weeks.
He was 70 years of age.
In a ceremony performed at Duluth, Minnesota, on March
17, 1916, he was united in marriage to the former Anna Wagner.
They resided at Gurney, Wis., until 1927,
working out of this terminal as a railroad engineer.
In 1927 they moved to Rib Lake where he
continued to serve as an engineer on the railroad during the prosperous
lumbering era of that community.
In 1944 the family moved to Owen where he was
employed as a mechanic in the trucking terminal of Western Condensing until his
retirement in 1960.
During the 20 years he had been a resident of Owen he had
been a most active and faithful member of the Masonic lodge.
Mourning his passing are his wife, and a daughter, Mrs.
Norman (Maxine) grow, Appleton, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
