VIRGINIA NELSON WEDS LYNN FILLIPP JUNE 6

The Rev. Lauri Issacson performed the wedding ceremony which united Miss Virginia Ann Nelson and Lynn F. Fillipp in marriage on Saturday,, June 6th, at the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Owen.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Pauline M. Daines of Owen and William D. Nelson of Abbotsford.  The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Fillipp of Owen.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride, was attired in a white lace suit fashioned with long sleeves, accessories were in pink including the couche hat, gloves and shoes.  She carried a purse adorned with a white orchid and stephanotis.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Jeffrey Miller who wore a pink three piece suit with white couche hat, gloves and shoes.  Pink roses and white pom-poms adorned the purse she carried.

The groom was attended by Mr. Jeffrey Miller.  Both the groom and his attendant wore dark dress suits.

Following the wedding a reception was held at the Meadowview Country Club at which guests from Marshfield, Greenwood, Abbotsford, Curtiss, and Madison attended.

Both the bride and the groom graduated from the Owen-Withee High School and are employed in Owen.  The new Mrs. Fillipp is a waitress at Ted’s lunch while Mr.  Fillipp is employed as a postal clerk in the Owen Post Office.

The newly-weds will reside in their home in the fourth ward.
