BADGER STATE DELEGATES
Miss Judy Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Armond
Miller of Withee and Dennis Galarowicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Galarowicz
of route 1, Withee, hae been chosen to represent Owen-Withee at the Badger State
Girl and Boy State Conventions which are held this week, June 14th to
21st at Ripon College and at the University of Wisconsin.
Sponsoring organizations are the Huizen-Fritz
American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary.
These young people are juniors who will be seniors in the
fall and were chosen both for scholastic ability and for their contribution to
their community through extra curricular activities, character and leadership.
Judy and Denny will have an opportunity to have a
week’s course in citizenship.
Students at the conventions will form and run
city, county and state governments.
Judy is attending the Girls’ State Convention
on the campus of the University of Wisconsin where Denny is attending the Boys’
State Convention at Ripon this week.
