3 TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS REPORTED SUNDAY

NO INJURIES OCCUR BUT PROPERTY DAMAGE HIGH

This week’s traffic reports as submitted by officer Bertz includes three mishaps all of which took place on Sunday, June 21st.

The first occurred at 12:05 a.m. in the Village of Dorchester where a vehicle driven by Clifford Wetterau, Dorchester, was struck on the left rear door as he attempted a left hand turn into a private driveway.  His car was struck by that operated by Robert L. Hamm, route 2 Owen, who was attempting to pass Wetterau at the time.  Both cars were traveling in a westerly direction.  Officer Bertz said damage to Wetterau’s vehicle was set at $75 and $10 estimated cost of damage occurred to Hamm’s.  Hamm was charged with operating a vehicle too fast for conditions.

A parked car owned by Norman Olson, St. Paul, Minnesota, was struck on the left rear by the car operated by Floyd Wilson, Owen.  Only minor damage occurred to each car.  Olson’s car was parked in front of Alfred Olson’s home in Withee when the accident occurred at 1:30 a.m.

Damage of $200 was inflicted on the parked car owned by Lee Noland, Medford when it was struck while parked on a street in Dorchester.  The car was struck at 9:30 p.m. driven by Donald Kraut, Curtiss.  Damage to Donald Kraut’s car was estimated at $75.  Yesterday he forfeited a bond in the amount of $18 on a charge of inattentive driving.
