Nacker-Boilke
Of interest to local residents will be
the marriage Thursday, October 28, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Christ
Lutheran Church, Abbotsford of Miss Bernice M. Boilke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
August Boilke, Colby and Louis A. Nacker, Abbotsford, son of Mrs. Cyrus Mohr,
McMinnville, Oregon. Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the ceremony.
The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Broeske of Dorchester.
The bride
wore a slipper sati.
n gown with net overskirt, sleeves pointed at the
wrist and with a sweetheart neckline. Her net skirt had satin inserts. She
carried a shower bouquet of red roses and white carnations.
Mrs. Broeske
was attired in blue with a net overskirt and matching headdress. She carried a
bouquet of pink and white carnations.
During the ceremony Gordon
Leonhardt sang “Oh Perfect Love” and “Lord Is My Shepherd”
A reception
followed the ceremony at the church parlors where the Lutheran Ladies Aid served
65 guests and a dance was held that evening at Walter’s Pavilion, Colby.
After a trip to northern Wisconsin, the young couple will be at home in
Abbotsford where they are employed with the H. K. Christensen Co.
Out of
town guests form McMinnville, Oregon, Eau Claire, Duluth, Minn., Prentice,
Medford, Stetsonville, Unity, Colby, Spencer attended the wedding.
The
Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best
wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
