The Rev. Karl E. J. Schmidt, of Marshfield, former Lutheran minister in Spencer, who passed away last Wednesday morning at his home in Marshfield, was laid to rest Saturday afternoon in the North Spencer Lutheran cemetery.
 
Rev. A. C. Stapel and Rev. H. C. Hinz of Spencer were among the Honorary pallbearers which numbered many Lutheran ministers of this section of the state.
 
Also attending the funeral from Spencer were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Neumann, Mr. and Mrs. George Oelrich, Mrs. H. Neidlein, Mrs. Luepke, Lydia Hinz and Mrs. A. C. Stapel.
