Young, Bert (07 Oct 1876-02 Feb.1964)
Funeral services were held Friday,
February 7, at 2:30 p.m. at the Loyal Methodist Church for Bert E. Young, 87,
who passed away early Sunday morning, February 2, at his trailer home in
Sarasota, Florida. The Rev. Paul Doering officiated and burial took place in the
Loyal Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Roy Hales, Gilbert Krueger, Oscar
Neeb, Hasting Baird, Albert Rueth and Joe Esselman.
The hymns “The Old
Rugged Cross,” and “Blessed Assurance” were sung by Mrs. Paul Doering,
accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Byron Zepplin.
Mr. Young is survived by
his wife, who is in Sarasota, Florida at this time; one son, Calvin of
Marshfield; and four daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Edith) Verhalen, Loyal; Mrs. William
(Louella) Butterbrodt, Loyal; Mrs. Vernon (Hazel) Rogstad of Loyal; and Mrs.
Norman (Norma) Kuehling, Unity; one brother, James Young of Neillsville; two
sisters, Mrs. John Sweeney Bonita Springs, Florida and Mrs. Clara Thurber,
Macomb, Illinois; and fourteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
one son, and two brothers and two sisters.
