McKenna, William (abt. 1893-02 Feb 1964)
Funeral services
were held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for William
McKenna, age 71, who died at the home of his sister in Santa Barbara, California
on Sunday, February 2. Mr. McKenna died of a stroke.
A solemn Requiem
High Mass was said by his son, Rev. Michael McKenna, Assistant Pastor of St.
Thomas Moore of LaCrosse, With Father KING AS Deacon and Rev. Jerome Hoeser as
Sub-Deacon.
Burial was made in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in
Greenwood. The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
Pallbearers were were Tony Lindner, Reynold Syth, Lawrence Wolf, Raymond
Scherer, Vincent Braun, and Herbert Schmitz.
Mr. McKenna is survived by
his two sons, David of Loyal and Rev. Michael Mckenna of LaCrosse; and two
daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Agnes) Hardinger and Mrs. Douglas (Mary) O’Donnell of
Marshfield. Two brothers, Adolph and John of Portland, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs.
Fred Halle, Waukegan and Miss Martha McKenna of Santa Barbara, California. He is
also survived by eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
wife on July 12, 1955, and by five children and one sister.
