Dennis,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Olson is participating in a six weeks summer training
session doing research work in the Dairy and Foods Industry Department at the
University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Dennis will be a senior at the Dor-Abby High School next September.
He spent the weekend at his home to celebrate his 17th
birthday on Sunday.
Tom, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson, returned home on Sunday evening from a week’s
National Farmer’s Union meeting in Colorado.
Tom will be a senior in the Owen-Withee High School the coming school
year.
Mr. and
Mrs. James Reishus and family of Wheaton, Ill., visited the past week with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Reishus.
Mr. and
Mrs. A. Northrum of Superior were dinner guests of their niece and nephew, Mr.
and Mrs. John Lokken on Wednesday.
Miss
Gertie Schultz of Milwaukee and Miss Martha Schultz of Abbotsford visited the
past week with their sister, Mrs. Anna Tonn.
Steven
Laabs and Jack Strassburger attended a leadership training camp at Clintonville
conducted by the American Lutheran Church.
Guests at
the homes of Mrs. Frank Matthias and Mr. and Mrs. Art Thompson on Wednesday were
their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Olson of Strum and Mr. and Mrs. Trygve Bjerke
of Spring Grove, Ill.
Mr. and
Mrs. Orland Wanke and sons were overnight guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.
J. Hennlich. They were enroute to
their home in Milwaukee after a two weeks vacation in northern Wisconsin.
