OWEN YOUTH TAKES THORP GIRL AS BRIDE

St. Hedwig’s chapel in Thorp was the scene of the Saturday, June 20th marriage of Miss JoAnna J. Harycki, daughter of Mr. Edward S. Harycki and the late Mrs. Harcycki, Thorp, and David Charles Jablonic, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Jablonic, Owen.  Rev. Edward Masalewicz performed the 10:00 a.m. Nuptial Mass and ceremony.

The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore a luxurious floor length bridal gown of nylon and Chantilly type lace.  Her modified Sabrina lace neckline, sprinkled with sequins, with long traditional tapered sleeves accented the fitted basque.  The bouffant skirt was fashioned with a redingote front and tiers down the front again sprinkled with sequins and a nylon back with lace edging which flowed gracefully into the chapel train.

She chose an organza petal crown with pearl trim which held her bouffant veiling and carried a bouquet of white roses and feathered carnations on a white prayer book with a streamer of white carnations along with a rosary.

Maid of honor was Miss Maureen Barry of Minneapolis, a friend of the couple and bridesmaids were Miss Carol Maki, Gurneee, Ill., cousin of the groom and Miss Delores Kaszubowski, Eau Claire, cousin of the bride.

They were attired in mint green organzine sheaths with short sleeves and round necklines.  A detachable floor length skirt was accented with bows.  Matching flower cluster hats with bouffant veils were worn by each and they carried cascade bouquets of mint green feathered carnations and white rosebuds.

Miss Kay Marie Jablonic, Madison, niece of the groom was flower girl wearing a white dress made to match the brides with a big white bow in her hair.

Ring bearer was John Charles Jablonic, Madison, nephew of the groom.  He wore a white jacket with matching shorts and knee high stockings, white shoes.

Frank Harycki, a brother of the bride from Germany was bestman and groomsmen were Maurice O’Konski, Chicago, friend of the groom and James Pabich, Thorp, friend of the couple.  Ushers were Douglas Bergstrom and Jerold Prepeluh, both of Owen, friends of the groom.

The bride is a 1959 graduate of Thorp High School and attended Gale Institute at Minneapolis in 1961. She is employed for Charles G. Senn, Attorney, Thorp.  The groom is a 1959 graduate of Owen-Withee High School.
