Granton (13 March 1969)
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Downer have sold their 200-acre farm and personal property
to Mr. and Mrs. George Bixby of Ainsworth, Ia., who took possession March 1. Mr.
and Mrs. Downer have moved into the Charles Prust house, south of Granton.
“Remarkable Incident at Carson Corners,” a three-act drama, will be
presented Saturday at 8 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The cast consists of
26 members of the high school enrollment. The dramatic production is a mystery
and trial about a murder.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Harris of Winona, Minn.,
were dinner guests Sunday of her brother, Lucien Moh and family. Mr. and Mrs.
Armin Moh and family were supper guests there, helping Lucien celebrate his
birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn Larson of Janesville visited her mother,
Mrs. Elda Bartz, Sunday and Monday.
The Rev. L. L. McCormick of Chili
conducted the Union World Day of Prayer service in the Granton United Methodist
Church. Thirty ladies were present.
