Clintsman, Helen Louise (16 September 1897 - 4 March 1969)
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from Grace Methodist Church,
Greenwood, for Mrs. Floyd Clintsman, 71, who died there Tuesday. She had entered
the hospital March 4, for lung surgery. The Rev. Carl Booher will be in charge
of the service. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are
being made by the Hill Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at 11 a.m.
Friday in the church.
Mrs. Clintsman, nee Helen Louise Moore, was born
September 16, 1897, in Bloomington, Ill. She received her education in
Bloomington schools and in normal schools in Illinois. Following her marriage to
Floyd Clintsman in April, 1931, the couple moved onto a farm in the Greenwood
area, where they remained until 1953, when they moved into the city. During the
summers they operated a summer concession in Wisconsin and the upper peninsula
of Michigan.
She was a member of the Greenwood Order of Eastern Star and
of Forest Queen Lodge, Royal Neighbors of America.
Surviving are her
husband; a son, Robert, of Greenwood; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Pearl
Reeder of Bloomington, Ill.; and a brother, Charles Moore of Roodhouse, Ill.

Funeral services for Mrs. Floyd Clintsman were held last Friday afternoon
from the Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Carl Booher officiated. Burial
was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: George Stark, Ewald
Schwarze, Howard Olsen, Alfons Hemersbach, Donald Decker and Viv Carteron. Gary
Schultz sang “In the Garden” and “Be Still My Soul” accompanied on the organ by
Mrs. Carl Booher.
Relatives from away who attended were: Mrs. Pearl
Reeder of Bloomington, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Reeder of Farmers City, Ill.; Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Reeder and son of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Charles D. Moore of
Roodhouse, Ill.; Charles Ray Moore of Orlando Park, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. George
Moore of Byron, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Moore of Aniwa; Mrs. Rachel Draeger
and Mrs. Marion Draeger of Gilman; Mr. and Mrs. James Goetz of Stevens Point;
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson of Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clintsman of Loyal;
and others from Stratford, Owen and Dorchester.
